The JuneโAugust 2022 Post-COVID-19 Community Outreach ultimately strengthened Duazon's resilience to future public health threats, leaving a lasting impact on both knowledge and behavior in the fight against COVID-19. The program successfully reached 900 households with essential resources and education, building community confidence and preparedness for ongoing health challenges.
Stay Above Drugs Campaign
Protecting Liberiaโs Youth for a Drug-Free Future
From its most recent outreach phase, the campaign reached five high schools and three communities, directly engaging approximately 1,000 high school students. Interactive awareness sessions were delivered to educate youth on the dangers of drug abuse, the long-term impact on health and well-being, and the importance of making positive life choices.
Beyond prevention, the campaign actively works to connect those in need with support services. During this phase, seven individuals battling drug addiction were referred to appropriate rehabilitation programs for treatment and reintegration support.
The Stay Above Drugs Campaign remains active and committed to sustaining its impact. The team intends to continue targeting five schools each academic year while seeking funding to expand to additional schools and communities. The ultimate goal is clear: to protect Liberiaโs youth, break cycles of addiction, and work towards a drug-free nation.
